1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice applies to the Leaseclarify service ("Leaseclarify", "we", "us"), operated by Leaseclarify (the "Seller"). The Seller is the data controller for personal data processed through this service. You can contact us at support@leaseclarify.app.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, login credentials.
• Contract content: the rental agreement text and files you upload for analysis.
• Support communications: messages you send us.
• Usage and device data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, telemetry needed for security and product improvement.
• Cookies: essential cookies to keep you signed in; we do not set advertising cookies.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the contract analysis service — performance of a contract.
• Account creation, authentication, billing — performance of a contract.
• Security, fraud prevention, abuse detection — legitimate interests.
• Product improvement and aggregated analytics — legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails (only if you opt in) — consent.
• Compliance with legal obligations — legal obligation.

4. Who we share data with

• Service providers / subprocessors: hosting and infrastructure providers, AI model providers used to analyse the contract text, email delivery providers.
• Paddle.com Market Limited: our Merchant of Record handles all payments, subscription management, invoicing, refunds, and tax compliance. See Paddle's privacy policy.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably required.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK / EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations. Uploaded contracts and analysis results are retained only as long as needed to provide the service to you, and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Billing records are retained as required by tax law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR for users in the UK / EEA), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month. To exercise these rights, email support@leaseclarify.app.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to operate the site (e.g. session and authentication). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
